This is a project made by Zumbi dos Palmares college, the only internationally known college in Brazil targeted to black people. In a country as racist as this, we’re daring to tell untold stories.

Pharaohs were black. Cleopatra was black. Africans had a deep knowledge of astronomy, medicine, maths, and other subjects long before the western world.

After 15 thousand hours of work of a team made by researchers, historians, journalists, teachers, and activists, a book with 200 pages was developed, showing some deep historical facts as we flip the translucent pages, revealing our true black heroes. 

To lock the project, more than ten thousand copies were printed and distributed to the students and each chapter of the book became a subject to integrate the college grade.
